Peer Counseling
Peer Counseling is designed to address the social needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, such as Autism, ADHD, and anxiety disorders, through the medium of gaming. Pairing individuals with developmental disabilities and professionals who collaborate to identify and overcome social and emotional barriers to community participation through gaming.
Respite Gaming
We recognize the emotional and physical toll that caregiving can take—especially when there are few opportunities for rest, relaxation, or personal time. Caregivers face high levels of stress and anxiety, compounded by the financial and resource constraints that make finding reliable respite care nearly impossible. Respite gaming is a weekly opportunity for caregivers to take a well-deserved break while their loved ones enjoy a few hours of supervised gaming fun in a supportive environment.
Empowerment Through Employment
At Game Bridge Initiative, we believe in the boundless potential of every individual. We know that many of our participants have dreams of independence and success in the workplace, but often face barriers that make these goals seem out of reach. The challenges of building a resume, navigating online job searches, and applying for positions can be daunting, especially for those with developmental differences. We understand employment as a pathway to dignity, purpose, and social connection.
